What is your musical background?
I have a variety of musical experience over the last 30 years. I have been playing and performing for the last 20 years and have been teaching for the last 15 years consistently.
I have an associates degree in music as well as a bachelors degree in education.
How long is each lesson?
Lessons are once a week for 30 minutes per student.
More advanced students may need one hour lessons so we have enough time to cover their advanced repertoire
I do group lessons as available for 45 minutes a long as there are three students per group.
Where are lessons held?
In Temple, I teach in my home during the week for lessons and on Fridays I go to Waco for lessons in the students home.
What are your rates and payment options?
The lessons held in my home are $25 a lesson for 30 minutes. One hour lessons are $55 per student.
Lessons I have to drive to in people’s homes are $30 a lesson.
People can pay through cash, Venmo, or Zelle!
Is it necessary to have your own instrument?
Yes! Each week I will give assignments that need to be practiced at home during the week.
For piano, keyboards are a cheaper and great way to start! For instruments they are usually available to rent at Music and Arts locally.
What are your learning goals?
I want to help and encourage each student to love music! Throughout this journey I will also be teaching technical and emotional additions to help them play music to their best abilities!
I use a combination of ear training and sight reading to create a balanced approach for each student.
I use a variety of curriculums and will use whatever best fits the individual student
